Whitewater Rafting on the Ocoee

OCOEE

High Country Adventures is our sister (or brother) company that operates on the Ocoee River in Tennessee.  We run trips on the Upper and the Middle Ocoee.  The Upper is the section that was developed for the 1996 Olympic Games.  This five mile stretch of powerful rapids includes the 1800 foot long Olympic coarse that challenges the world’s best paddlers.  The Middle Ocoee is the most popular rafting river in the country because of its continuous stretch of Class III-IV rapids!  Tumbling through a spectacular scenic gorge in the Cherokee National Forest, the Middle Ocoee plunges 269 feet in over five miles.  From the put-in at “Grumpy’s” to the final wave at “Hell’s Hole,” your professional High Country Adventures guide will deliver you through the wild rapids of the Ocoee River.

You want to make a whole weekend out of trip you say?  Well we have so much more to offer at High Country Adventures.  Have some family fun on the Hiwassee River, go on a wild cave excursion, do some rock climbing, or take a sunset sea kayak tour on Lake Ocoee.

High Country Adventures Ocoee Outpost is your one stop for all your needs.  For more than 37 years, High Country Adventures has maintained a commitment to offer outdoor recreation services that exceed your expectations.  We emphasize this commitment at our 30-acre Ocoee River Outpost, which includes the following amenities:  Eight mountain cabins, a lighted and fan cooled pavilion, professional sand volleyball court, group campsites and bath house, conference center, main bath house, outdoor gear and gift shop.
