Trip Information and Procedures
There are TWO put-in options. The price is the same for either trip.
First Put-in: 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. only at the Johnson Ferry Road access to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. This 6.8-mile paddle takes 4-5 hours.
From I-285 East: Take exit 24 Riverside Dr. Turn RIGHT (outside the perimeter) onto Riverside Dr. and continue 2.3 miles to Johnson Ferry Rd. Turn LEFT on Johnson Ferry, cross the river, and make a RIGHT into the parking area.

Second Put-In: 10:00 am.-2:00 p.m. only at the Powers Island branch of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, which is located on Interstate North Parkway on the north side of I-285, east of the river itself. 2 hour float time.
From I-285 heading West. Take exit 22 Northside Dr/New Northside Dr./Powers Ferry Rd. At the second traffic light, turn LEFT onto New Northside Dr. Use the through lane to take Interstate North Parkway. Make a RIGHT into the parking area before crossing the river.

Take Out: 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. only at the Paces Mill branch of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, also known as the Highway 41 take-out.
From I-285: Take Cobb Parkway/US 41 exit. Go SOUTH 1.5 miles. Parking area is just past the BP Gas Station on the RIGHT before crossing the river.

High Country DOES offer a shuttle service! Before you put on the river, we will shuttle the drivers from the take out, back to the put in. Fee is $10 per person, so we advise to just shuttle the drivers! Meet at the put in, either Johnson Ferry or Powers Ferry. Have dry clothes waiting at the bottom!
Rates and Reservations
- 8-Person Raft: $150 per day
- 6-Person Raft: $125 per day
- 4-Person Raft: $100 per day
- 1-Person Premium Tube: $30 per day (Tubes only available at the Powers Island put-in)
Advance reservations are strongly advised. Please call 404-814-0999 to make your reservation. Payment is due in full at the time reservations are made. A credit card and current driver’s license are required for all rentals. Refund policy: In order to receive a refund on a cancellation, we must be notified 48 hours prior to the trip date otherwise, full charge will still be applied. In case of a rain-out, we will reschedule for a later date.
