Boat Rock
Nestled in the middle of a residential community, Boat Rock is Atlanta’s very own bouldering site. Facing extinction not too long ago from expanding housing developments, Atlanta climbers and businesses got serious and saved this area. An annual competition, sponsored in large part by High Country, is held early each year in a fund raising effort to pay off the load taken out by the SCC to purchase Boat Rock, and as of now it’s all paid off! Boat Rock’s technical and balancy climbing will be with us for quite some time to come. Don’t forget to bring a crash pad!
